5/ As for the name, it comes from TransFormers United Kingdom, or TFUK for short. No pun intended, no silliness involved.
Perhaps we should have thought about calling it "Transformers UK Convention", but that's not quite as snappy as TFUKCon.

4/ We've spent a lot of time and energy trying to promote the event and welcome people to buy a ticket and attend.
The event has expanded year on year and tickets usually sell out now.

3/ The way that tickets were sold was within the group, after all it was an event that was made for those of us in the TFUK groups to attend. The way we sold tickets changed with the involvement of our partner, PrimeTimeToyz. This meant a proper payment platform to sell tickets going forward.

2/ As running a mini convention meant arranging a venue and other costs, we decided to charge for tickets which was done with the support of the TFUK community that we've built up over the years.

TFUKCon was first envisioned as a meet-up for the Transformers UK groups that we've ran on Facebook for the past 13 years.
As the first one we organised had significant interest, we expanded our original plans to basically be a mini-convention.
