I did quite a lot of this in my wiki, to a granular level sometimes. happy to help if needed.

e.g. create a ViewTemplate tiddler that is tagged $:/tags/ViewTemplate

within the ViewTemplate tiddler create a list widget and render the desired customization

… … …
</$list>

Couldn't you setup a template system with #TiddlyWiki to render specific tiddlers that contain the target field with the desired markup ?
