Through the bedroom window we can feel fall at it’s peak and in a few weeks all this will be bare. Then snow.

Globe thistle. So easy to grow and they look like something from another planet.

I could not resist posting this, just as we have an unusually warm and summery October week. It won’t last.

My father had a #Nash Rambler when I was about ten, in 1960 or so. It was a matte grey and yes the seats made into a bed. I wasn’t allowed to sleep overnight in it.

Bookclub meet last night. No one going to USA on vacation. Good #Canadian authors reviewed and great Canadian wine enjoyed. And wonderful vacation stories shared, mine being #NovaScotia in
September.

Yes it is all that. My first visit will not be last.

In front of my shed is a purple smokebush with soft smoke-like flowers. I prune it to grow high and narrow each year and we enjoy the way it waves in the wind.

For a month there is a lot of green in this part of the garden and so we put a hot bright pot of annuals there. I like the shapes and layers of the green plants.
