I spent my entire life knowing that Bill Kristol was a loathsome human being. However, over the last decade, loathsome has been completely redefined. He still has abhorrent policy positions, but, apparently, relative to the MAGA republican party, he is no longer loathsome.

When did this start? I was in 6th grade in 1979/1980. I don’t remember the reading curriculum but by HS we were studying classics and modern literature. That’s awful but it seems we are in a worse place now. My daughter is a freshman in college and I was appalled at her HS curriculum.
