Sometimes miss the sound of the teletypes. We had 2 clack-clacking away. One on the AFTN, the state/ATC network, the other on SITA, the airline network. They just ran day & night, 30’ of paper behind each 1 in the morning. Good times.

NYT has it wrong. It is not the tariffs, they are only a temporary inconvenience. It is the wondering out loud about the 51st state.

The idea that vaccine mandates restrict freedom is a big talking point for PP BUT vaccine mandates allow children to go to school and be free from vaccine preventable illnesses and that freedom is true freedom.

Not sure the Communism column is correct. My wife owns a condo in China & her son owns & runs his own business. And there is a typo there.

From personal experience as an engineer moving province, that is a big step. Certified as a P Eng in NB, moved to Montreal did it all over again with the OEQ. Company wanted to do some design/construction at Calgary & Edmonton, did it all over again with APEA.

The US ATC staff shortage dates back Reagan firing striking controllers. The FAA has never gotten back to full staffing. They take budgeted money from Project & R&D funding to pay overtime to keep ATC going & this is why new projects take forever to get fielded & the overall system deteriorates.
