Also parliament and its members, given the government very clearly covered this up for years until the press had hounded the peacenik opposition leader out of office, then stampeded through a war crimes impunity bill ASAP with the total willing complicity of the main opposition party.

I’ve got: the army - for producing this many generals demanding impunity for war crimes on the record - and the SAS, the MoD for tolerating this culture, plus the government and PM’s office, clearly seen as biddable. And I’d add the Times: the latter for publishing this and employing Tom Newton Dunn
