National Weather Service has upgraded to a Winter Storm WARNING. Current projections for Gaston County are for 1-2 inches of sleet followed by .6 to .8 inches of accumulated ice, which has the potential to cause widespread power outages, downed trees and hazardous road conditions. 1/2
