I'm back home in the Midwest visiting my folks and friends. The tornado outbreak yesterday gave me the opportunity to introduce my new southern weather safety rule to everyone :

If Waffle House is closed
Stay off the road.
If Reed Timmer is nearby,
Kiss your ass goodbye.

I can't get enough of old, southern ladies calling me "baby". It's music to my Midwestern ears. When I try to say it I just sound like a creep.
