I worked in the same building as Bob Rivers for a few years at the end of my career & I remember a huge positive aura and energy that came out of their studio every day. Their show had a massive audience and big success. Farewell to a legend.

Most people will focus on David Johansen’s music career and it was awesome to be sure. But don’t forget his performance as Looney in one of the most underrated comedies of all-time, Let It Ride. “I’m sure glad I didn’t bet. I woulda had a heart attack.”

While working on my story about Tim DiJulio in September I had the chance to see Duff McKagan’s band rehearse their full set. They sounded so good then and I knew after six weeks on the road they’d have that set buffed up and shiny. They sure did! Great show last night at the Showbox.
