There's bits of that route that are not a public right of way. Hope the farmer doesn't come out with a gun!

Here's a sign to keep yours company. From the garden of the Angel, Yarwell.

Clearly, goes on post code and not county boundaries.

Not often you see a penalty like that. The ball vanished into Northamptonshire!

That map should be in a museum!

Are you looking to increase use of Bluesky? I no longer use 'X' because of its politics and miss your match day coverage.

There's a story behind the picture of the sleepers with broken rail chairs.
In around 1971, I remember, a wagon on a coal train derailed here. Hundreds of yards of track were wrecked. The crane from Toton was used to repair the railway quickly and the damaged sleepers were just dumped on the bank.

I was fortunate to be one of the 80,000 there. Cracking game!

Just an occupation bridge, I think. Nothing to do with Welham Sidings.
Locally, it's known as 'Echo Bridge'. Even now that the old cutting is part filled in, you still get a great echo if you shout from the road bridge.

Quite agree. So many pubs now have a history of tenancies of short term duration. I now don't expect too much when a reopening occurs. Village pubs especially.

"When the last pub calls last orders, it will be the end of England" Quote pinched from George Orwell. Worrying times!
