100%!!! How many intelligent species (on other planets) ever overcome self destruction via depletion of planetary resources, weapons of mass destruction and the inability to socially unify?!?

Probably very few, and that is why those that have only monitor us...especially now as we approach the end.

Also, extreme left Dems would not vote a moderate Rep speaker. There's still many normal / non extreme folks on both sides. With such a slim Rep majority, it's yet another chance for the House to lead and remind the country how American Democracy works, and shut down extremes on both sides.

Once again, there is an opportunity for Dems to work with moderate Reps to elect a moderate Rep as speaker. Would show the country both parties can work together and not be controlled by the extremes
