They are using the word, which appears liberally throughout the Uniform Code of Military Justice, and applying it to federal civil courts or any other court they damned well please.

Like the bird said, it would break the military, and the country. The military was designed (at one time) to be a demographic mirror of the population. Or that was the goal, anyway. I’m sure there are some true believers that would follow him willingly, but more who will the law.

I would expect both the officer issuing the illegal order and the enlisted person executing it to be convicted at the same time GCM. Officers are supposed to be the guardrails that stop illegal orders, swearing allegiance only to the Constitution.
