Started sleep-training our little boy tonight. Solid 2 hours crying, finally got himself off to sleep about 2 hours ago. Sitting anxiously waiting for the next bout of tears.

Incredibly, listening to George Harrison’s ‘All Things Must Pass’ for the very first time. Hearing ‘Hey Jude’ referenced in the outro of ‘Isn’t It a Pity’ makes you sit straight up and pay attention. Loving this album so far #musicsky #nowplaying #nowspinning

Then I went to bed and finished reading Babel by R.F. Kuang. Most frustrating book I’ve read in a little while. Could be so good, but the story is buried by not allowing the reader to infer anything at all. Its the type of thing where the TV show will be better #booksky

Impromptu date night watch with the wife. Beautifully told story, wonderful performances from both leads, all delivered with that British sense of humour. Soundtrack was great as well. Was worried I’d cry more once I found out what the plot was about, but I held it together #manly #filmsky #moviesky

Early in the book, he calls Alf Lennon a ‘wacker’, a term my grandfather called me all my life but I never knew that it meant something. Even if I stopped reading now, this book already means something special to me. Thanks @marklewisohn.bsky.social for teaching me something about my own history.
