I recall processing at AFEES on Balboa Dr. in Chicago. My enlistment, on a stark gray dour day, forced me to put away my childish things, though I did hold on tightly to the CASE penknife that my dad had given me, which my grandpa had earlier gifted to him before my father shipped off with the Navy.

Displaying my letter to Letter to the Editor here on BlueSky as our local Dunwoody Crier newspaper refused to print my letter that identifies Charlie Kirk's bigoted remarks subsequent to the Crier publishing an article (more like a paean) that essentially canonizes Charlie Kirk and his "disciples".

Just voted for the Public Service Commission here in Dunwoody, Georgia for Democrats Alicia Johnson and Peter Hubbard as they aren't in the pocket of the utility corporations as the incumbent Republican candidates are.

We marched from the No Kings Atlanta Civic Center rally to the Georgia Capitol, but none of us anti-fascists trespassed or battered police or called for the Georgia Lt Governor to be hanged as what occurred at the Trump's Jan 6 insurrection So, mendacious MAGA Mike Johnson, who are the terrorists?!
