What did they mean by this? Turns from cycle lane to slip lane for cars. Sydenham Bypass, of course. It should be a textbook example of what not to do when designing cycle lanes.

I finally expanded my cycle map further south. The Royal Canal and Old Rail Trail are lovely places to cycle. Cycled through a little bit of Kildare and Meath, but most of it is Westmeath. Maynooth to Mullingar first day, then Mullingar to Athlone. Was fun 😁

Maybe I'm going crazy but I always remembered South America being much further to the west than it is. I also always thought Indonesia was further away from Australia. Strange how the memory works. Absolute geography brain fart, it's a strange feeling.

Kind of an interesting anomaly. I found this slip road on the M1 (RoI) that extends into Northern Ireland. The RoI carriageway markings and road signs extend into Northern Ireland also. I think this might be the only instance of road signs in the wrong jurisdiction.

Update on project Plastic Guitar. That's the breakout board installed, so I can now use start, and select again 😂 and also the d-pad. Cutting, stripping, and soldering all those wee wires is kinda fiddly, and clearly I've made them too long haha. Octopus electronics!

These fast food restaurants in the US are getting pretty crazy. A 4 lane drive thru, that's not seating on the first floor, that's the kitchen. There is no indoor seating. The food gets sent down a conveyer belt to the cars. Looks pretty dystopian to me. At least they gave the kitchen staff a window
