I did a writing course many years ago and the people who were super protective of their ideas always made me laugh. Buddy, I can barely motivate myself to finish writing my own ideas, I sure as hell am not spend weeks/months/years on your idea.

The clearest possible indication that comedy is subjective. Some real garbage picks in there, but too many to argue about.

It’s got Stephen Root, Isla Fisher and Alan Tudyk - some comedy all timers, and not one of them gets a really good line. I am sort of obsessed with it because it’s so weird

I happened to read Michael Ovitz’s autobiography last week and he specifically says how when he got Connery as a client he told him to stop doing any old thing that came along and be more selective and conservative (and then goes in to say how successful that strategy was as a business decision).
