And it's not like Schumer didn't have years to learn from McConnell how to throw wrenches into the machinery as the minority party leader. Is he craven? a throwback to times of Senate comity? or stupid? Hope outraged public attends his book tour in the coming weeks.

After the Senate Dems collapsed (as always it's the minority that delivers the outcome), is it wrong to say we want fighters for our side? Can't worry about lowering ourselves into the mud. It's where all future battles for preserving country will have to be fought. They set the rules! Fight, it is!

Most recent societal norm to fall - family support. Fired federal workers' families spout MAGA talking points rather than unconditional love. WTF? Credit ceaseless drumbeat/lies/tropes about government workers since Reagan. Family divisions accelerated by social media.

Thrust into unemployment, axed federal workers face relatives who celebrate their firing
Scrambling to replace their health insurance and to find new work, some fired federal workers are running into another unexpected unpleasantry: Relatives cheering their job loss.

Obsequious trump-vance team to please putin. It is also textbook bullying -- humiliation, intimidation, threats by making (false) references to their "strength." We know. Been doing this work for 28 years -- the Workplace Bullying Institute. They couldn't stand Zelenskyy's dignity throughout.

The Federal Unionist Network (FUN, a group that spans federal worker unions) has declared Wed. 2/19 "SOS - Save Our Services" day. Government SERVES the people, politicians either forget or spout Reagan's original denigration of fed workers. Read about it 2/19 here: inthesetimes.com/article/fede...
Federal Workers Rise up Against Musk, Trump and Drastic Cuts

My heart breaks for federal workers, especially long-time friends at AFGE & NTEU. They agreed to deferred compensation in exchange for job security. Now they've been betrayed by a couple of billionaires. Talk about moral injury! If ever there's a time for genuine thoughts & prayers, this is it.

Catastrophizing -- an exercise in worst-case scenario thinking. Does Vance et al. WANT another 9/11 -- enabled by Hegseth, Rubio, Gabbard -- to justify an abolition of the remaining rights of Americans (the Patriot Act on steroids)? I remember the faux nationalism that replaced critical thinking.

More misery compounding human suffering. The Valentine's Day massacre of federal workers is Vought, assisted by Musk Minions, inflicting the "trauma" he promised (as revealed by great pre-election reporting at ProPublica). And these are union members. Consequences by and against union members!

Caught this Maryland elementary school story. 4th grade boys in bathroom. One ends up "hung" on coat hook from which he can't escape. Taken to hospital. Principal claims "horseplay." Pranks? I say horseshit. Terrified kid, terrified parents. You decide. www.wbir.com/article/news...
