Last year our new assistant principal observed part of one of my classes and sent me a follow up 'thanks, loved it!' email written by ChatGPT. I've been at this for 30 years and don't have much tooth enamel left to grind

Outstanding. Way back when, Santa brought my kids two rubber T-Rexs, about 2 feet tall, that eventually lived on our porch year round. In October, they wore Halloween costumes; at Christmas, they had Santa caps and beards (courtesy of Petsmart). They were a huge hit in the neighborhood.

I just spent a week teaching Thoreau's Civil Disobedience to 17 year-olds. There is hope. They see it. They see the craven, corrupt tyranny around us. They are wrestling with HDT's challenge of what to do in when the law forces you to be "the agent of injustice to another." Fight the power!
