The Winter Olympics are in February. While I'm not feeling very patriotic, we have probably the best figure skating team in many decades competing. Very strong skaters in every discipline with a strong possibility of 4 gold medals, including the team event which starts before the opening ceremony.

I truly don't understand why any artist organization asks for a resume from anyone applying to a juried exhibition of any kind. An artist statement is fine. Any show really should be about the work. I've never liked anyone's work more because they went to Pratt or RISD, or interned with Jeff Koons.

No one believes they're going along with fascism while it's all happening in real time. And sadly, a lot of people will spend the rest of their lives either flat out denying it or making excuses for why they did it in hindsight. It's a tale as old as history itself.

For all of my Artist friends: I've spent a substantial amount of money at Culture Hustle over the past few years. I won't be giving them any more business. They've gone downhill with their customer service significantly. I've waited 6 months for my last order from them. I'll just shop local for now.

Keturah Griffin died in a horrible car accident on Parkway East yesterday morning, while driving home from her overnight job to drive her daughter to school and then go to her day job. No one should have to do that in order to support their family in this country. She deserved way better.

My husband asked me yesterday if being a hipster was still even a thing. I told him no. Nowadays, you're either a fascist or you're not a fascist. What you wear and how you groom yourself doesn't change that either way.
