IBM 1401 - First computer class was when I was in HS but the class was at the local JC with the 1401.
First IT job was repairing the ultra-modern Tab Products Co microprocessor based keypunch machine. 80 characters per card, state of the art.
They also came out with an 8" floppy - 1 disc=640 cards

A friend of mine used to work for Bill Graham Presents in SF. He told me about working a show in Oakland and looking for the Boss to let him know it was time to get on stage. Springsteen was in the lounge sitting at the bar drinking a beer and chatting with the bartender like he was just a guy -
