I'm a wrinkly old fantasy illustrator, best known for Lone Wolf, Redwall and loads of Games Workshop stuff. I live in Charente Maritime France in a house full of books, toy soldiers and dust.

For SF we play Xenos Rampant and Stargrave. For Back of Beyond and Dark Ages we use rules I've written. For Pirates we use Donnybrook. No I'm not jaded.

Some people asked to see the simple SF floorplans I just bashed out for a club game. Black 1 inch grids printed out on tinted paper spray glued to card sheet. Big markings cut out of paper. Stains and skid marks done in water colour.

Demain soir à Paris on a une séance de dédicaces à la librairie Le Nuage Vert, 41 rue Monge. Je vais apporter beaucoup de mes dessins et les festivités commence à 19h30!

If you're in Paris tomorrow night, I'm doing a signing and showing fans some of my drawings. 7.30 PM at Le Nuage Vert, 41 rue Monge 75005 Paris. It should be fun!

I've just completed three new Lone Wolf covers for the Italian publishers. Would anyone like to see some prints of these?

This bloody thing lasted about two turns before a lucky cannon shot hit the magazine, sinking it immediately!

First game for these trucks last night! One destroyed on the starting line. The second badly damaged and forced to retire. Always the way with new models, isn't it? I'm not playing any more and I'll be really upset if anyone laughs.

Here are the finished technicals in their camo paint scheme. I've dirtied them up a bit, but I've kept them neutral in case I want to use them for other races.

I've also made a couple of goblin technicals. These two cost me a whopping five euros for the trucks and a couple of euros for the plasticard and glue. The guns lift off to allow them to be used as simple transports.

Here's the finished version of the transport in it's snazzy camouflage scheme. I've added a bit of stowage with some Tamiya packs and a roll of barbed wire.

I've just made a soft skin transport for my Xenos Rampant Orks. I found the original model down at the dump and replaced the back using plasticard. Total cost about 2 or 3 euros!

Here are some more cardboard warships! These are from my pirate collection.

They look fine. Ready to take on these guys!

Here are a couple of the Burrows and Badgers animals.

Thanks very much. You make a lot of inspiring stuff too! We're setting up a big pirate game for next March at Les Sables d'Olonne, about an hour to the north of me, after a chance meeting at a wargames show. Julien is a club member there and he has a big pirate collection. The hall's already booked!

This is my ordinary everyday wargames scenery. Some of the boards have a plywood base because they represent sea or river sections and all have a stripwood frame. These are filled in with polystyrene insulation board textured with a mixture of plaster and wood glue.

I know I've put these picture up before, but it shows the difference a bit of height makes. No cliff and the battery would be much less effective. No rocky islands and the Spanish ships could fire right across the bay.

This is a Chinese temple for Back of Beyond games. I had a black and white photo of the exterior to use for reference and some of my own photos of Chinese temples in Malaysia, which I used to detail the temple front and the courtyard.

I was going with a sort of Japanese WW2 flying boat aesthetic here. I cut the markings out of adhesive film and then stencilled them onto the fuselage. I think we'll need a bigger wargames table now.

Just finished this vertical take-off cargo plane for my Xenos Rampant games. It's a converted Paw Patrol toy that I found at a junksale. It only cost me three euros and four more euros for a can of grey spray paint! 25mm figures included for size.

Here's a couple of my prints, all signed and numbered, that I've just put in the post to England. You'll find them in my print shop:

I prefer The Smuggler's Inn, but The Harbour Entrance is more popular.

That's nice. My boards are quite a bright mix of sand texture and green grass mat. I think a lot of gamers make the mistake of trying to duplcate real colours. I've tried to make mine look a bit like a sunny day seen from an aeroplane.

I've tried washes and I've largely gone back to using a black undercoat and three or four topcoats in sucessively lighter tones. I can't see much difference in the speed of painting between the two methods and this makes it much easier to match real uniform colours.

Here's another table I've been messing about with for a Xenos Rampant game. The two uprights of the "H" will be in separate rooms and the players will only be able to talk to each other using "borrowed" walkie-talkies. Eventually the tables will be joined toether by the central rocky valley.
