You may ask yourself, well, how did I get here? Concerned AZ Army veteran trying to make sense of it all. Likes #hiking, #mountainbiking, #backpacking, #packrafting, #canyoneering, and adventures in our #truckcamper.

The Aravaipa Creek Wilderness in AZ. Another reason why we need to keep public lands in public hands: just on the doorstep of a major mining project, yet haven to bighorns, coatimundi, mountain lions, javelina, bear, deer, bobcats, exotic birds, etc. Truly deserving to be called big & beautiful.

Florida Man strikes again. Just another example of a Republican program designed to siphon off public education tax dollars, which in turn leads to the kind of waste, fraud, and abuse that Repugs love. I'm sure a donation to Trump will earn this guy a pardon.

Recent pics from visiting friends in Durango CO. Parts of Robert Redford's "Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid" were filmed here. Also, this used to be Lauren Boebert's district until she carpetbaggered her way to an even redder district a few years ago.

Visiting the White Mountains of AZ in our truck camper. We are so fortunate to have public lands like these for all of us to enjoy, and so we must be ever vigilant to keep Trump from selling these treasures off to whoever puts the biggest bribe in his pocket. Also, #ReleaseTheEpsteinFiles.

Enjoying a paddle down the Salt River, a riparian oasis in the desert just outside Phx. Meanwhile, down the road in Tucson, Amazon wants to build a data center that would use 6% of their supply of reclaimed water, which could potentially dry up what remains of the Santa Cruz River riparian area.

Back on the Cole Park bridge over Hwy 60 again this morning. Once again, kudos to all the folks who came out at 6:30am to beat the forecasted 110+ degree heat. #VeteransAgainstTrump

Ashurst Lake AZ. We came to observe osprey, but were fascinated by all the other colorful characters flitting thru the trees like Top Gun fighters: orioles, goldfinches, warblers, wrens, swallows, sparrows, meadowlarks, etc. It's really dry out there right now folks, please recreate responsibly.

At the Indivisible Arizona rally on the Cole Park bridge over Hwy 60 this morning. Kudos to all the folks who came out at 6:30am to beat the 100-degree heat, because people gotta get out there and rally against the fascism taking over our federal government. #VeteransAgainstTrump

Visited Picture Canyon in Flagstaff for the first time recently. The city acquired this preserve from the State Land Dept with funding from a voter-approved Open Space bond and a Growing Smarter grant from AZ State Parks. Treated water provides year-round critical habitat for wildlife and songbirds.
