This is the first theme group of the first movement which is in a kind of warped sonata form within a sonata form.

It’s a wonderful and mysterious TV show with memorable theme music by Status Quo’s Andy Bown. It’s a wonderful tune and really caught my ear at the time which was before I ‘got’ music (or rather before music ‘got’ me!). Here’s the theme and the psychedelic opening graphics…

It did give me time to find this DVD box set (of course, Jane found it really) which I’ll be watching if I don’t feel up to writing.

4/4. I’d need to give it a really good listen through to check there isn’t the occasional beat added or taken away as there were a few interesting phrase lengths in there. By far mostly 4/4 though, if not all.
