Contemplating Magus and Fool, Merlin and Arthur, Gandalf and Frodo (earlier Bilbo), the Wizard and Dorothy, Don Juan and Castaneda, Socrates and Don Millman, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke, Ryuk and Light Yagami, and many other examples all through fiction and history (or do I repeat myself)?
