And speaking of amazing ducks... a hundred metres upstream we saw this Canvasback napping with one eye open.

A male Green Winged Teal in all his muted splendor. How is he perfectly comfortable in icy water on a -10°C afternoon? Ducks are amazing.

I find shit like this endlessly entertaining. Two Whiptails wrestling so violently that my wife actually said, "Go break it up before somebody gets hurt!" Like I'm in charge of reptilian activities on the resort.
