Hey #PortfolioDay I’m a lighting artist in the Bay Area looking for his first role in gamedev. I’ve lit in production pipelines for a year focusing in Maya/VRay. Have made the leap into UE5 and loving it.

Lighting study of Jost Vocano’s cinematography in RoboCop. Adjusted the desaturation in layers, midtones, highlights and shadows. Added a cool wash over the image to match the cooler palette from the reference. Lit in Unreal Engine 5.3.

Updates to my little animation in UE5.

Animation will end just after the door opens. Toying with the idea of light spilling out or not. But as it stands I like where it’s at right now. Very moody/atmospheric.

Made some tweaks to the lighting. Gonna be going for a deep midnight setting but got the shadows where I want them. Now it’s all about the fine tuning after I do some material fixes.

First art post on the sky app.

Working my first in scene blocking inside of Unreal with Megascans. Most of my work is relighting using already assembled scenes so this is a first dabble from the ground up. Keen on the progress. More to come this week.
