Well what to write? I love hiking and rambling in the countryside, love reading, photography, a wee bit of football, politics, and I’m an absolutely rubbish runner. Owned by a dog/cat. Managed by two kids.

I was doing the same in 2016 with my baby daughter hoping Hilary would win. I hoped the misogyny would play less of a part this time round. Clearly it didn't.

That won’t be difficult as the Greens aren’t helping themselves with rural Greens turning NIMBY whilst urban Greens are unhappy. They can highlight this disparity at the next GE. Make those urban/gentrified Green voters come back to Labour by highlighting this disparity.

They probably think his right to family life is satisfied by the presence of his uncle and aunt. The child should have his parents and this is just plain wrong.

The Guardian “columnist” gets £350k? No way. God how much do people like Littlejohn and other Telegraph/Mail writers get paid?

The fact this is annual highlights the fact this is more about a culture of failure and a lack of training and mentoring rather than individual underperformance.

I agree. He should have the whip removed and a point made about MPs own property holdings. We can’t talk about standing up for millions of renters when the MPs for the party of government run slum dwellings and profit from them.

I think they should have the whip removed. This would show tenants that the party will champion tenants over landlords. They won’t and any renters legislation will be watered down by lobbying by NLA etc.

I agree with you about your idea that using ChatGPT is lazy.

Something rather haunting about a subterranean river & London has approx twelve in total. Aside from the Westbourne there are also the Tyburn, the (Roman) Walbrook, Fleet and Effra re the more well known ones. Here’s a link to a lovely piece on London’s lost rivers www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-engl...
The lost rivers that lie beneath London - BBC News
Dozens of rivers and canals were buried beneath London's streets more than a century ago. What do they look like today?

Aren’t you going to miss the many thousands of “trade experts” on Twitter. I’ve noticed that there is a dearth of trade specialists on BlueSky. Either you forge a path or wait for the mass exodus of trained, sensible, professional trade pros from Twitter. 😂

I’ve read Cowan’s Social Life of Coffee. However, thanks for your suggestions - just found Carter’s chapters in Men about town and that is very interesting. Thanks.

This is incredibly short sighted of them. DEI initiatives help organisations develop better cultures. Why remove the foundational work now? Short sighted and nonsensical from Jack Daniel’s.
