If it’s the Prada one with the London Grammar song, I think she directed it too. But then all perfume/cologne ads are decidedly strange* and maybe the last genre of global big-budget TV ads in existence, which kind of fascinates me.
*They’ve got Tom Holland on one now!

The turnout in Wigan Central was slightly higher than it was last May (30.9% vs 30.8%) and the all-outs in 2023 (29%) which is unheard of for a by-election in these parts (the weather wasn’t even good!). The enthusiasm is definitely there.

Christopher Nolan with the Insomnia remake is a perfect example to me of an indie director proving to the big studio that he could handle a mid-sized budget, a big star or two and a load of location shooting before they let him loose on the really big stuff. A great career move for all involved.

Surely the biggest issue is that everyone should be joint first since alphabetical order is not and never has been a tie-breaker.

Yeah, the delay is for linear broadcast but the streams are live, and BV was only shown on a stream.
I suspect next time around there’ll
be a mandatory delay on all streams and an assigned individual monitoring each one for content so the Beeb can claim they’ve learnt lessons.

Nerdy correction: The Beeb started coverage in ‘97 (e.g. Radiohead’s Saturday night), so three years after C4’s debut, not four.
