On VJ Day, let us honour Cardiff boxer Albert Love, who died in a Japanese camp in 1943. He risked death to steal eggs for sick comrades, also giving them half his own rations. When he too caught beri-beri, he lacked the strength to fight it.

Plenty of old stars attending the World Test final at Lord's and plenty of TV cutaways to them watching on. So why oh why do the commentators not identify them? Are we expected to recognise them all, decades on?

Ben Kellaway 181 not out - that's some maiden century. And another 21-year-old, Asa Tribe, scored a career-best 94. Glamorgan are like Cardiff City: they may have been a bit 'meh' for the past few years, but there are some talented youngsters to give hope for the future.

Why does the BBC's reporter outside Westminster Cathedral keep describing it as "the biggest RC cathedral in England and Wales"? Is it the biggest in the UK? If so, say that. If not, call it the biggest in England. Why the "and Wales"? I thought those days were long gone.

Sunny Edwards comes up with some good insights in his TV work, but will somebody at DAZN please tell him to stop crying "Ohhhh!!!!" every time a decent punch lands, even when his lead commentator is speaking. He sounds like a kid at his first-ever live show.

Brilliant Jeremiah Azu - European gold followed by world gold in a couple of weeks. And all after moving his training base back to Cardiff. It's amazing what can happen with regular access to a pint of Brains SA and a curry arf'n'arf!
