He’s a typical liberal. They just go with the current status quo. Could be progressive, or conservative or even fascist depending on the current political climate. There are no principles. Right now the status quo is ignore climate change. This will face huge resistance from BC and First Nations.

Thank you for doing the principled thing and resigning. It’s beyond depressing to see this. I encourage people to watch the documentary Yintah on Netflix. There will be massive resistance to this pipeline.

I live around here and this strip is going to have a ton of massive buildings. But at least the streetscape is being preserved. You’ve got these great buildings below, why not as an architect play with the design aesthetic of the buildings below. There’s so much to draw from.

Right now I don’t buy that he’s doing much of anything. Liberals want to maintain the status quo no matter what that is.

History » is really striking. I watched it in early 2017 was was stunned by how similar Hitler and Trump actually are.

Sarah Kendzior in her book « They Knew » talks about the xfiles. It’s about the important distinction between actual conspiracies which are real and do happen, and conspiracy theories which are not real but contain elements of truth from the real conspiracy. Like QAnon landing on Epstein.

It was the general vibe of the 90s. Skepticism and distrust of the government. Questioning official narratives and state secrets. To me this is more health questioning government conspiracy, whereas nowadays it’s more like cults of conspiracy theories. Very different things.

He is literally trying to provoke Black Americans into the streets so he can grab them and send them to a camp or deport them. They should not take the bait. To me, resistance is staying home in this case. He wants to do The Purge. Don’t go out protesting. At least force them to go door to door.

Sarah Kendzior does a great job of tackling this in her book « They Knew ». It’s about the distinction between actual conspiracy and conspiracy theories. The reality is that there are actual conspiracies like Epstein. And conspiracy theories have truth embedded in them.

What Trump was all about was widely known in the 90s. He’s been a part of the top culture for decades. It wasn’t until Mark Burnett created The Apprentice that people started believing he was a billionaire businesssman instead of a bankrupt failure. None of this happens without that show.

If she’s been handed powers it makes no sense not to fully use them. The Right would never hesitate.

In theory the other countries would defend us against a Russian invasion of the arctic. Or against some new enemy that attacked us. I’m skeptical this would ever occur and that Europeans would come to defend Canada. Now the threat is the United States so NATO is just guarding the status quo.

Exactly. CARNEY had a lot of game during the election and we’ve seen none of it since.
