Morning Womble, I've got about 50 pages left of Bianca Torres is Afraid of Everything, a YA comedy/mystery with a brilliant nonbinary lesbian protagonist and then I'm going to lie around in the sun with Caitlin Starling's new book The Starving Saints. Enjoy your day with Helen Marshall! 🌞🛸

Morning Womble, I'm reading The Coin by Yasmin Zaher. Hope you have a good day 🌳🪾🌻

Morning Womble! I'm reading The Etched City by K. J. Bishop so I can listen to the latest Starship Alexandria podcast. The first section made me think of Sam Peckinpah films and then the next part in the city has me all discombobulated. It's great 😁 Have a fab day of reading! 🌻🚀💜

Love this! It reminded me of a spring display I did without really understanding what I was creating: it became a weird concoction of a (my) disturbed mind(!?) - part Klimt, part Aliya Whiteley & part Wizard of Oz. I added a quote in the sky: “I could while away the hours, talking to the flowers”

Morning Womble, I'm reading Exhalation for the first time(!) and alternating stories with chapters of The Clinking by Susie Greenhill. 🌻🚀☀️

Woodworking @emilystjams.bsky.social is one of my fave books of '25: life-giving, funny, exuberant. At times incredibly sad & rage-inducing - requiring us to confront injustice & cruelty. I LOVED it: its characters, confident structure & moments of the uncanny. Read it, share it 💜🩷🩵 #booksky #lgbtq+

AND 4. A novel gateway is one of the best literary fiction novels of 2025 so far #booksky

Finished The Wilding @ianmcdonald.bsky.social - a fantastic folk horror adventure with brilliant characters, prose to die for(!) and the best use (& love) of Yeats I've encountered for some time. The contradictions inherent in nature v human are judged perfectly 💚 #booksky #lovereading

Looking forward to starting Is A River Alive in the morning but who can suggest a great river related novel to read alongside it? I'm open to any genres, literary fiction or a classic... @robgmacfarlane.bsky.social
