I dunno. One thought I had was like… if the feds would mandate geographic standards or something content neutral that gets people thinking locally more.

But also tbh I think it’s obvious Elon’s Twitter boosts and pays for nazi stuff, lies, and the like.

I’ve realized the easiest meme argument format against him is

“Trump:
Also Trump:”

E.g.

“Trump: we have free speech in America again

Also Trump: if you protest Israel you’re expelled from your university”

Works for just about every lie of the moment

How do you preserve the truth without censorship?

It is true we’re seeing just a shameless level of lying all over the place anymore.

Dan I remember you saying on a CS podcast that we’d all be begging for a Caesar if conditions got bad enough

FDR steered us through a world war when all these countries were going fascist an communist. He wasn’t a Caesar but he was Caesar enough to placate the masses. What are your thoughts on that

Hillary Clinton pushed this self sabotaging identity politics focus on the Dems as a counter to Bernie.

I didn’t like that one argument you made in your otherwise great post on Trump pushing the boundaries of the constitution around… the part about the left branch of Dems having an inability to win a general election.

Bernie sanders polled better than all the other candidates against Trump. Full stop

What’s your opinion of the Trump v United States decision on presidential immunity?
February 12, 2025 at 8:15 PM
A plan document laying out strategies and counter strategies. If there’s success ousting those justices and it withstands legal scrutiny, great, if not… well you may win anyway if Trump v United States is limited or overturned.

And keep acting boldly til they do decide to curb executive power.

If the president can ignore court orders, I was thinking something like arguing judges like Thomas violated the Good Behavior clause. Art III. Sec 1. And oust them thru the executive or congress, building as much legal theory to back up the choice as possible.

Need a project 2029 for it tho.
February 12, 2025 at 5:56 PM
That’ll require legislation. Court stripping would catch them off guard & depoliticize the court more. And wouldn’t make the court a new unelected legislative body.

But I’m thinking you need Trump v US overturned or qualified. That would require a president that the court concludes is law breaking

How do you get the Supreme Court to take its power back? By pushing boundaries. Force the court to narrow or reverse Trump v United States. It demands a president who pushes the Supreme Court into defying their exercise of executive power.
