Organic Gardening Feed

This account manages the Organic Gardening feed. I won't follow back here because this is only about the feed. My personal account is @cyrinne.dev
Ideally one that provides the soil nutrients that the tree needs and your soil lacks. (That would require soil testing, of course.) You might not even need to use any fertilizer at all.

Organic fertilizer improves the soil as well as feeding the tree, so that would be my general recommendation.

Thank you so much!

The first issue seems to be resolved already, the feed is back up. ☺️

Also, while I'm at it: The capturing of sign-ups responding to the pinned post has been broken for quite a while now. I've already unpinned an re-pinned the post, but that didn't help either.

Ah, some sunshine and flowers on a dreary fall day - thanks so much! Welcome, I've added you to the feed. :)

I've made mango chutney in a slow cooker before. It worked, yes. Worth it? Maybe, I'd say it depends in the time yours would take on the stove.

Congrats on your first pears! That potatoe is very impressive.

Welcome, I've added you to the feed. :)

Feel free to quote your existing gardening-related posts with a seedling emoji or one of the hash tags to add them to the feed.

Ooooh, neat! I love fresh turmeric! (Well, I also love tried turmeric.)

Welcome, I've added you to the feed. :)

True. It sure looked docile in our neighbors' garden who gave me a root cutting to start with, but I don't think they feed their soil much and I think they harvested many of the stems, too. That raised bed of mine had been newly filled, so perfect for hungry plants. 😅

I think it's even quite aggressive (i.e., exactly the opposite of fussy), right? I think I put in a raised bed once and it quickly took that over. 😅

Might have to give it another chance with more gardening experience under my belt. ☺️

Thank you :)

Hi, I've noticed quite a few non-gardening related posts from you with the seedling emoji. Would you like me to remove you from the Organic Gardening feed? I don't want to have to manually remove those posts from the feed.

FYI: The address and tracking code can still be read when you zoom into the picture (I had clicked on it by accident). Perhaps you want to delete this post and post again with a new pic?

It should work for both unless there's a technical issue. ☺️
September 7, 2025 at 12:19 PM
Actually, I think you were already there since your post showed up in the feed yesterday. :)
September 6, 2025 at 9:20 AM
Lovely pictures, by the way!
September 6, 2025 at 9:18 AM
Hi, you should already be able to post here. ☺️

Please try adding the seedling emoji or one of the hash tags to a post and check if it shows up in the feed a bit later.

Let me know if something doesn't work for you.

How lovely! Welcome, I've added you to the feed! :)

One of my heirlooms spawned a volunteer this year - I immediately took seeds from it for next year!

Ah, okay. I'm the same. Gardening is fine, but traditional house plants? No chance.

If you like, you could try growing a potato in a large pot. That worked surprisingly well for me, I never even transplanted it.

I'd love to read about any experiments you might try. :)
