I have it sorted. Sorry for the confusion.

It is what it is. Worrying does nothing. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon.

Self-care comes first. I step up as I can, then have to take a break.

On the advice about a doc, I probably couldn't help. I usually don't engage in DMs but in this case, send one, and I'll respond once I have the "spoons" for it.

Even Google is annoying right now. It may take several days to even look TBH. I'll make a judgment call *if* I can help.

One would think, but my potted fern should win against Just Dance Vance.

OTOH, stale bread, if used within a certain range, might result in charges...who knows? Noem would "imply" 'beat' can be taken as a threat. 🤷

Which is an issue. The GOP played the long game, they operate by using fear, and they have jumped on simple, targeted messaging to shift the Overton Window further to the right.

Fear is a powerful motivator. They leverage it.

Dems suck at messaging. If it can't fit on a bumper sticker...

I have an inappropriate meme, but will share anyway.

Sideways with a cactus, then rotate on it.

It's a struggle now. I have no idea how a new artist would make it now. It used to take actual talent w/ no computers to tweak back in the 1970s. A band like Rush, Yes, Queen, etc. wouldn't make it today. They had to have a hit, yet be amazing in concerts as well. DJs took requests.

Zing! That's one of my favorites. It's good for a laugh, and in the proper format.

@ refrigerator is perfect for an unexpected, funny Haiku.

Time to pop out the tool kit. Use whatever tools you have at hand, as long as it's not illegal.
December 19, 2025 at 11:36 PM
I'm OK with all religions as long as they're not forced on others. Voodoo Queens? Following their faith. As long as no animals are harmed down there (per ordinance) they have a first amendment right to practice their faith.

In the US, it's all, or none, per the Constitution. This is being eroded.
December 19, 2025 at 11:35 PM
Yep. I'm not a Christian myself, but I'm very well-versed in world religions. Just in the US, I'm damned to Hell in more than 38,000 denominations. "What if you're wrong?" - Me? What if Buddha was correct. What is God? People of the Book are Muslims, Jews, and Christians. It's all the same deity.
December 19, 2025 at 11:32 PM
This *should* resonate w/ those parts in the Book of Revelation, and believe they are "True" Christians. Yet, it doesn't seem to.

I'd shared an article from a pastor to get mom's attention, & she didn't care. She goes to church. She's full MAGA, with zero empathy. Nothing new for her. BPD? Dunno.
December 19, 2025 at 11:28 PM
Yes, it is. It's unethical, it's unjust, yet here we are. Acceptance is difficult. I'm doing my best.

Thanks!

She (HCR) made a recent video where she compared T and another speaker on a stage. The speaker is speaking, and T jumps into the orchestra pit. He will always jump into the orchestra pit. It's very distracting. He's attention- seeking. Always ME, ME, ME, even at a funeral. It's tiring. I get it.
December 19, 2025 at 11:08 PM
It is intentional, the distractions. Heather Cox Richardson has a live stream, and she is calm and level-headed. She's an American History expert, and her Subs aren't paywalled. Her presentations are calm, about 20 minutes, and she is reassuring to me...1/

I'm glad to have helped. @timothysnyder.bsky.social has a Substack with no paywalls, but donations are appreciated. He had this in one of his Substack pieces, and asked us to share freely. There are copies of the book, it's a short read, but if strapped for $ check the library. I have the book.

Having said that, SCOTUS is rigged. We all know it. What can we do about it? Vote harder? That still may not work. Europeans are good at this. Our country is too large, and the No Kings Day got very little media coverage (By design? Too many other distractons? Toeing the line?) - who knows.
December 19, 2025 at 10:53 PM
I understand, but, now that we appear to be lawless, may as well go for it now. It is clear he is commiting crimes. Also clear the only "Constitutional" recourse won't do. Not enough votes to convict. If the "rules" no longer apply, US Marshals have an obligation. Any time now would be great...
December 19, 2025 at 10:49 PM
Exactly. I've read Timothy Snyder's book, repeatedly, and follow his substack because it's not paywalled and I'm trying to cut expenses.

If I had extra funds, I'd donate. Things that are paywalled I can't do. I have 2 I pay: (Angry, and a podcast friend who needs the money). Have done for years.

If you are going to steal someone's work, do not steal it from your professor. The name should have been a clue.
December 19, 2025 at 10:37 PM
Another anecdote from adventures in academia. A student couldn't write worth a darn. The student stole hubby's dissertation, and turned it in, to HIM. 100% plagiarised. Hubby turns over to his chair, and BOOM. Punted for academic dishonesty. I've no idea what class, but really?
December 19, 2025 at 10:37 PM
True dat, but the thought of ICE officals and ones on the ground being freaked out? Hilarious.

Years back I brought in a CD of 2112 from Rush. Team Lead saw the cover and had a jump scare. She never spoke to me gain.

Pic was the Starman. She thought "Pentagram" - Oh well. I had to laugh.
December 19, 2025 at 3:19 AM
Yes, she is. I love historians like Heather Cox Richadson, but also people like Anne Applebaum, Ruth Ben-Ghiat, and Timothy Snyder. They all write about different things, but I love to learn, and HCR is calming and non-alarmist.

If any of these are on a podcast or stream, I watch.
