The seeds are on a stem that the painters broke and left laying around. My best guess is frost aster, but none of my other frost aster is fuzzy like that.

This side of the fence is deep shade. Trumpet vine likes full sun, so I’m not sure why it has put this much growth into such a spot. But I don’t mind.
