SH2-174, an ancient planetary nebula 980ly distant in Cephus, taken in HOO with RGB stars, from Bortle 8 skies (my backyard). These objects are created as a Sun-like star dyes and blows off its outer layers, while the core collapses into a white dwarf.

The Owl Nebula (M97 or NGC 3587) is a planetary nebula approximately 2,030 light years away in the constellation Ursa Major. Estimated to be about 8,000 years old, it is approximately circular in cross-section with a faint internal structure. 1/

Comet C/2023-A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) captured 10/19/2024 with my Esprit120ED telescope, QHY268M camera, and Chroma RGB filters. This is 15m of 30s exposures per channel, for a total of 45m integration.

M33 the Triangulum Galaxy; this is a total of 20 hours of 2-minute exposures with Luminance, Red, Green, and Blue filters. An additional 6 hours of 5-minute exposures in Hydrogen-alpha emissions were added as an overlay to highlight the nebulous HII regions shown in pink/red.

The Wolf's Cave. The blue reflection nebula VdB152 is seemingly emerging from the mouth of dark nebula LDN1217, with planetary nebula PK111+11.1 in the upper right of the frame, and supernova remnant SNR110.3+11 (red arc) in the upper center.

The Elephant Trunk Nebula, IC1396, is a concentration of interstellar gas and dust located in the constellation Cepheus about 2,400 light years away from Earth. I processed this image in the SHO Hubble false-color pallet.
