They didn't create one big chance...had one shot on target. I have seen Palace play this season on a couple of occasions, they counter attack far far better than they did in this game and it's entirely down to our OOP play. The height of our defensive line, our full backs balling out..

It's amazing how the supposedly more literate part of the world has unanimously chosen capitalism as its main mode of economy.

Also, if you are putting up nearly 2 xG pretty regularly open play or not, you will win most of the games.

We created some great chances in the 2nd half. 2.0 xG nearly.

What percentile is Gyokeres in terms of xG and shots? In the league?
October 7, 2025 at 4:00 AM
Odegaard should be back enough soon right?
October 5, 2025 at 5:21 PM
Look at the xG! The goals are coming! That's a 3rd consecutive match where he has put up good xG numbers /shot numbers.
October 5, 2025 at 6:02 AM
We were half inch away from having a Gyokeres goal today, too! The over the top through ball to the wide channels and cutback across to Gyok is gonna give us a lot this season.

Also, modern-day low blocks are not the same as low blocks of AW era....they are hard! Getting your shots off is difficult.

It's a consistent pattern across the league.

Liverpool's xG this season - 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, 2.2, 2.7(1 pen).

1 loss and a draw in a series of games where we play at Anfield, Old Trafford, SJP, and City at Emirates, and them being the opening 6 games of the season...I will take it.
September 21, 2025 at 6:19 PM
They are 2 injuries in midfield and defense away from being a hevily lobsided squad.
September 14, 2025 at 4:56 PM
And this is not an outlier anymore. In the 2nd half of last season, they have been on a downward trend.
September 14, 2025 at 3:13 PM
Or they have lost their best attackers and bought 2 premium players who play in the same position and they have lost the spark? Isak + Etikite could be their doom.
September 14, 2025 at 3:12 PM
Post the game, my opinions have only been reinforced.

Arsenal are a great team, can control any team in europe, and if they keep their best attackers fit for the majority of the season, they have a chance to win the league.

Liverpool are very good but defensively vulnerable and are missing TAA.

Zubimendi and Rice the first 60 mins were outstanding I felt.
September 1, 2025 at 8:28 AM
1) better average position/formation maps.

2) percentage of key actions (key passes/chance creation, etc) happening from each area of the pitch
August 31, 2025 at 5:07 AM
It is shocking. They need Guehi + another CB and they are putting all their eggs in the Isak basket..
August 25, 2025 at 9:19 PM
Their defense is shite. And a VVD or a Konate injury away from complete collapse.
August 25, 2025 at 9:10 PM
How tf did he give 11 minutes added time? They are soo lucky i can't believe it.
August 25, 2025 at 9:07 PM
They have unending luck
August 25, 2025 at 8:18 PM
If Saka and Ødegaard don't make it for that game, there is definitely space for him on that bench.
August 24, 2025 at 2:08 PM
I think he has the capacity to ball out against high defensive lines like Liverpool's. We just as a team need to improve our decision-making on transitions. CC : Eze.
August 24, 2025 at 2:06 PM
Normally that would be the right thing to do considering he is only 15.

But he gives us something we don't have. Ball carrying and an ability to be a menance in the box. (Has won 3 penalties in 3 games).
August 24, 2025 at 2:02 PM
Idk I think Dowman is getting some minutes at Anfield!
August 24, 2025 at 1:58 PM
Really good team that has bolstered its attack massively...
