It's giving middle ages energy, like just go fight and oppress other people for the land and resources. But yeah the free independent critical thinkers would absolutely do anything if Trump and Elon said to do it. For sure taking Greenland will fix the USA and it's not a distraction at all for sure.

Like for fucks sake, people stormed the capital even when the democrats won normally imagine how they would react to such a move. Those judges would literally need to fear for their lives if they do it, and they are not gonna do it bc they are the same judges who ruined the rule of law in the USA.

So in these conditions, with these structural and institutional differences, how do you exactly expect that the supreme court would do something even similar to Romania, not even talking about the backlash and the nature of the backlash that would be different too, btw we don't have guns.

The decision of the constitutional court of Romania was one based on fair and lawful elections and state security, it reestablishes and confirms the rule of law and that no one is above it, sadly the supreme court of the USA did the exact opposite, placing Trump above the law.

For people who say "Now do it in the USA", you need to understand we had a stable president with a stable parliament for 20 years, we have a powerful status queue and establishment, the establishment in the USA has been intensely shaken since 2016 and broken until now.

Now even if they would want to make such a decision you literally could not bc even if Trump broke the law, he can't be punished or even judged for it, he could literally commit treason and he would be above the law so you can't use that against him.

I mean it should, in fact there are some proofs that your elections may also have been affected by Russia, but in our case the constitutional court basically ruled for the rule of law even if the decision is controversial, in your case the supreme court ruled that Trump is literally above the law.

Also people should be aware that this is a matter of national security, we may have a corrupt system but it comes from within, if someone tries to take control of our country the powers of the state will stop them even if they need to do unpopular things that may even look like abuses of power.

Though some damage is already done bc his views kinda became more accepted already, I can't imagine how it would have been if he actually became president.
It's kind of a reversed Trump judicial case where, instead of ruling that he is over the law, the rule of law was reinstated and confirmed.

And for us that's a fucking damager bc we worked really hard to distance ourselves from Russia and get/integrate into EU, and if antieuropean stances become normalized we are in real danger, so the court didn't want to risk it so they took initiative to stop it until it's too late.

2. We saw what happened in other places and even to our neighbors, we know that he had decent chances to win even if he is so crazy, we know that he will abuse the law and the rule of law if he gets power and we know that once the status queue is moved it's gonna be hard to bring it back.

Our system(Romania's) is without a doubt institutionally corrupt if you want details I can give you some, but it's our corrupt mediocre system and if someone represents a danger to our stability and status queue, they better do it completely legally bc the rule of law is respected here.

So basically Russia influenced the elections in ways that we didn't know until three days ago, the reason for which actions didn't take place sooner, and in cases in which the elections were influenced and things like funding were secret the constitutional court can nullify the elections.

As for what I can tell you right now, CG claimed he didn't have any financial support, and he had from the Russians, also some database attacks took place before the elections from Russia, and it was proven that Russia used helped, if not started, the CG vote on TickTock.

As a law student I looked at what the constitution said, and the decision looks to be fully constitutional. I didn't have an opportunity to speak with the teachers about that, but once I do I will probably come with more insight. I'm saying this bc a lot of ppl think the court made a power abuse.

I don't know what the medical explanation of his cest is, but I know that his daughter is lucky to not have the same condition if it's something genetic.
