“Historically, pathocracies led by malignant narcissists have always ended in disaster and mayhem.

It can't be otherwise, as these characters are driven by death instinct that compels them to destroy all that's good and decent in society as they pursue their primitive goals.”

Watching now… 23 minutes in. Cool so far.

I vaguely remember that movie. I was 16 shen it was released in ‘68.

You’re right of course. Perhaps the human refusal to learn about normal and abnormal psychology, and how it impacts all aspects of civilization will be documented in a history book for any future generations to read. 😞

That of course is a violation of the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.

It should be challenged in court.

Oy, that show. 😑 I remember our first cable in 1984 with that horrible show. But hey, we had MTV!

The time(s) to fix the onslaught of the pathocracy was 1st: before the power elite schemed to get him elected in 2016. Next was beginning Jan. 2021 after the inauguration, indictments, trials, convictions, prison. Finally in the 2025 election cycle.

Now I think it’s must just play out. 😞

The political gamesmanship is so convoluted & the public’s expectations for a fix make it nearly impossible to label it anything.

The system is as double-bound as any terribly dysfunctional family w/pathologically evil parents is.

I think the nightmare logjam was unfixable. People will die.

“lost enthusiasm” is a weaselly choice of words.

The AI didn’t write it either. It stitched together words taken from actual writings based on user-inputted prompt(s), and spit out 300K word document.

There’s not a lot of warmth, if any, in that laughter… not in his, nor coming from those in the room laughing with him.

It’s very dark. Hackles on the back of the neck creepy.

I can’t recall when I found this from him. This was written during the Predator-in-Chief’s first term. It’s all still pertinent of course.

“…everyone's a puppet, the tech bros, the leaders, fox news, the fans are all in this circularity and everyone's chasing each other’s tail. Don't try to sort out who's in charge, this is ecstatic immersion. The leader is watching the tv, the tv is watching the leader..."

YW!
For lack of a better term 😉, I’m a lifelong psycholinguistics cheerleader. Language influences thinking. The way people think of the world is influenced directly by the language that people use to talk about it. Words matter.

In what language does rain fall over tormented cities?

Our 8 yr old HSP, highly sensitive person (I’m the live-in grandma) notices EVERYTHING about what she eats. There is no fooling her ever. We offer alternatives but never push it. Her autonomy about food is important.

I completely get it. 🌟

Sending my grief-calloused heart to you. 🫶

Do you have others around who can support you as you do the details that come fast at us in the hours & days after our loved one dies?

Even when we’ve felt the sadness & pain of anticipatory grief & loss, we still feel it all … for as long as it takes.

Yes.
Whoever controls the frame controls perception. Repeating a bad message strengthens the message EVEN when attempting to negate it. That’s just how brains work.

INSTEAD of posting & reposting those, & those from psychopathic predators in power, create the message that is needed, a new message.
