I came away the movie satisfied but also kinda sad. And not really for the characters in the movie, kinda for myself I guess. I’ve heard some version of it the ‘this shit(following your passions) will break your heart’ quiet a few times from artists/filmmakers/industry pros and seeing Sam advance

How a dream deferred leads to other dysfunctions, settling/compromise creating existential crises, all that shit really hit home. Third act has some stuff that doesn’t have to make sense because some times there’s not a reason for the things we do

Completely forgot to return to this 😆 Nah I really liked how whimsical the act of creation was depicted, how it was a compulsion to be answered, with the sacrifice required to indulge your passion played out in both Sam and his mothers lives.
