(I was going to put a disclaimer here about how women are also suffering from loneliness too, and how talking about one side’s issues does not mean I oppose or don’t support the other’s but anyone with a brain could tell you that)

One last thing though

that female friendships are far more supportive and emotional than male friendships. They knew each other’s insecurities and traumas.

All that to say, the this comic’s solution to the problem is how men are socialized from little boys to act the OPPOSITE of, and is reinforced every day.

NOBODY saw it coming, and it wasn’t because that nobody cared or paid attention to the boy. It was because, the way you’re socialized as a boy is that when you struggle like that,
you go through any lengths to hide it. And after talking to some girls I was honestly shocked to hear

like the comic suggests, you get belittled and laughed at. Every dude I am friends with now has a story like this. I am thankful that I now have a good support system and friends but I had to deal with the consequences of “talking about my feelings” before. It isn’t great.

First of all there is a general loneliness issue affecting everyone, but it affects mainly men, and these people making fun of the whole thing I’ve noticed don’t even operate with nuanced ideas as to why.

They don’t seem to understand(or care) that sometimes when you “talk about your feelings”
