The morning of Rain's first day of senior year in high school is shown over the course an hour and a half, in which she feeds her rabbit, takes a shower, blow dries her hair, gets dressed, braids her hair, and puts on makeup. Rain: "I... I can do this!" Rain: "Look. The point is, he doesn't know, and he's going to be here tomorrow. So I either have to come out to him and suffer his close-mindedness through Christmas vacation, or pretend to be a boy so he doesn't find out." Rain's supportive friends and aunt wait for an answer. Rain (pointing to a door): "O-or maybe I could just hide out in here for a week." Her Aunt Fara grabs her hand in an attempt to stop Rain from diving through the door. Her friends just watch vacantly. Fara: "Dammit, Rain! You can't hide in the closet forever!" Rain: "Just watch me!" Rain arrives home with a bag from a pharmacy. She pulls out two vials, and dumps two small pills in her hand (Estradiol and Spironolactone). Fara: "I'm surprised you aren't bouncing off the walls with excitement. Or are you just basking in the moment?" Rain: "I don't know. I think I'm a little intimidated. It's just weird when I look at them now. It's hard to believe these tiny little things are what I've wanted all this time." After a brief pause, Rain pops the pills into her mouth. Rain arrives at a pool party with her friends. Rain: "Hi, everyone! Gavin: "Hey! Welcome! So glad you could make it." Ana: "Did you ever end up finding a swimsuit, Rain?" Rain: "I sure have!" Rain: Eh heh heh. Behold!" Rain tosses her hoodie and skirt to the side, to reveal a one-piece swim dress. The words SWIM DRESS appear behind her in giant letters. Half of her friends comment on how cute it is. The rest start blushing and let out a soft, simultaneous "damn, girl..."

Rabbit reincarnation." Theo and Eiji stand off to the side whispering to each other. Theo: "Do... rabbits come from eggs in her world?" Eiji: "I don't know. I have a lot of questions too." Nagisa: "So, I... um... really, really appreciate what you did. You're my hero! Nagisa leans in and kisses Chiaki on the cheek. Nagisa runs off calling across the hall. Nagisa: "A-a-anyway, uh... Good night, Chiaki-chan!" Chiaki stands vacantly for several panels, blushing, before finally putting her hand up to her cheek and letting out a single, soft "eh?"

Forgive the update like this. It's easier than trying to fight with character limits. ^^;
As of this writing, Chapter 6 is planned to close with page 209. That means, believe it or not, there's still ten more pages. I've been doing my best to keep up, but even with cutting it down to two updates per week, I have basically squeaked by the whole time. The art for many pages in the last couple months is done the day before it's expected to go up. The more demanding action poses have required more trial and error on my end to make sure they convey what I want. And it doesn't help that I find myself tweaking and adding things as I go to be able to foreshadow things for later. This morning, I woke up feeling terrible. I believe this is more a case of the changing seasons and me coming down with something than anything, but the stress probably isn't helping. I do want to get this chapter done (for a lot of reasons), but I also resolved to be kinder to myself and take breaks when I need them. And if I'm getting sick, I need to take a break so I'm not working through it and thereby making it harder to recover. That's not going to help. So... Two weeks. I'm going to take a two week break. One to recover, one to catch up a little. And then we'll get through the rest of the chapter with no further interruptions. As always, I do apologize for any inconvenience, but I greatly appreciate your patience and support through this. Even if you're mad about another break, just remember this is going to make a lot of upcoming big pages look, feel, and read better. I believe it will be worth the wait. Thank. Please take care. :)
