This is NOT the answer… but… I know for quite a few sites there are international “mirrors” of sites that receive heavy traffic.
Also it’s a backup. So that if the eastern US copy goes down it’s rerouted.
Maybe US was down when you joined and you were added via the Asian copy.
Just a guess.

I hear people screaming “You’re doing it wrong!” in every subculture or interest group with a population larger than three I’ve ever seen.
Marriage is a big subculture. Somehow especially for the members who will NEVER have a successful one, they feel like they MUST gate-keep the institution.
