I don't know if I'd label him conscious but Nip was a mixed bag and had some good foresight on how he wanted to be presented to the public. He had a lot of elements but he was a gangsta rapper at the end of the day. Murs is what I'd consider conscious.

The conscious subgenre basically anything that aint gangsta, hustlin, druggie or club music rap at this point
