I don't need another #n64 HDMI kit but I want more fine soldering practice. I also criticize the Hispeedido kit so I figured the best way to have a solid opinion is actually use one.
Many say this is a $40 kit. With tax and shipping it's more like $60. Add the $10 3D printed mounting kit $70

I don't need another #n64 HDMI kit but I want more fine soldering practice. I also criticize the Hispeedido kit so I figured the best way to have a solid opinion is actually use one.

Since I'm tinkering with the old Pentium 4 build I thought now would be a good time to re-paste the Sapphire HD3850 AGP 512mb.
It took some clean up. The paste was really old and flaky. Glad I did it. Here are some HQ photos of the card and chip.

I don't have a separate video for the pin extractors. The pdf was just a written guide. Although it didn't include how to use the plug tool. Here are some photos of sanding down the extractors. I think I used 800 grit.

When some people talk about game prices and they always reference these old ads showing that prices were just as high.
I was there, some prices were but it was very short lived. Especially when the PS1 came out, priced dropped big time.
Also, the most egregious ads were Canadian prices.

I think this is the last update to my 2010 gaming PC for now. I changed out the Corsair H50 water cooler I put in 15 years ago. Some of the water evaporated. Replaced two fans and cut a hole in the back for better air flow and added fan shroud. Last is a PCI-E to Sata III card for faster SSD speeds

Done with the #PS3 slim re-paste. Before and after of the GPU/CPU. That's some old paste. 2010-11. Temps are much better after. Highest 72 on RSX after 26 minutes of play with only 35% fan.
