European (french) here, each country has its own laws and strategies, which is why Ireland is a fiscal paradise for companies for example. For France, the top 1% pays almost nothing in taxes because they are legally evading taxes with banking schemes. Cant speak about other countries

One critique i have for the black and white games is that a lot of the new pokemon artstyles felt off somehow. Some were bad (subjectively, i admit) but a lot of the dex felt like not pokemons, i dunno how to explain it.

AI is running out of data to steal, so AI companies need more data to train their models, and im pretty sure they lobbied governments to implement these measures for data. Governments saw the potential for censorship and jumped in at the thought of being able to silence protests on social media.
