Because I had to have that PCP, give me a referral *back* to the ob-gyn practice I had been with for the previous 7 months. If I didn't do that, I ran the risk of having to pay for the rest of my prenatal care, labor and delivery and postpartum out of pocket. But I was far luckier than my friend...🧵

I got a phone call from HR when I was eight months pregnant with my daughter letting me know that I had to choose a primary care doctor from the new plan that afternoon. Why, you ask? 🧵
