Cats, Climate Emergency, Heart of Midlothian, affordable housing, social justice, running and the greatest country in the world. Being Irish he had an abiding sense of tragedy which sustained him through temporary periods of joy.
Still have to believe Hearts can get top 3 - probably as well all the hype about a possible title has gone

Game is over as a contest - Ireland need to find a way to avoid a rout

Turning into a farce

What a response from Ireland #IrevSA

Ireland unlucky with SA potential card but then make too many errors

This is truly extraordinary - I saw Head do this in a short overs game v Scotland at the tiny Raeburn Place - but this is a Test Match on a full sized ground

My worst fears realised, as a “neutral” - Australia’s batting is nowhere near good enough to make this a competitive series - missing Cummings was always likely to cost them this game but it’s the batting that will cost them the series.

When did the meaningless phrase “refuses to rule out” become the basis for about half of media reporting of politics?

Quite emotional watching that interview with Craig Gordon

Delighted for Lawrence Shankland to play his part - but what a moment for Craig Gordon!

What a goal!

Time to dust off my slightly tenuous Scottish roots - a granny born in Partick to Irish parents who left around the time of the Famine - she and they returned home but was Scottish born - come on Scotland!

Are you hearing that Scotland? Play a striker who can score
Just catching up on the football there and it turns out that Ireland has discovered that the key to winning matches is to Have A Guy Who Scores Goals? #COYBIG

What a win, far better performance from Ireland - definite progress
November 15, 2025 at 10:06 PM
Shankland getting better and better the longer he doesn’t get on

Just finished watching the excellent t Trespasses on Channel 4. A hard watch at times as a reminder of growing up in the country - maybe it has taken us till now to be able to tell these stories. I loved the cars - we had a red Allegro.

Compelling game this #FRAvSA

Cracking game in Edinburgh - can Scotland finally do it?
November 8, 2025 at 4:37 PM
Interestingly (?) - huge cheers from the green shirted watchers here for Scotland’s try - Scots fan who dislike Ireland so much might take note

Great rugby weekend in Dublin - Ireland poor first half but come good in the second - now watching Scotland v NZ, a comfortable seat, multiple TVs and the Guinness is only €7 a pint
November 8, 2025 at 4:19 PM
Far better second half from Ireland today - subs definitely helped. Both 10s contributed - at the moment good to have them both offering something different. Ireland still a work in progress trying to get new blood in the team #IREvJAP

Ireland disappointing after a good start - lineout struggled and too many penalties but also not enough attacking threat - key men missing maybe too
A huge Irish performance ruined by possibly one of the worst officiating decisions ever recorded in professional sports.

Highlighting the huge problems in Rugby Union with officials and their subjective implementation of laws of the game.

Should have been a highlight was a instead a disgrace.
