Today I had the pleasure of presenting my second PhD chapter at the International Society for Ecological Modelling conference (Kashiwa, Japan).

This work focused on modelling landscape-scale responses of pollinator species to national parks and their surrounding areas. This work should be out soon!

Pollinator surveys are off to a flying start in Parc National de Forêts!

This year I'll be studying functional and taxonomic turnover along gradients from core zones to buffer zones, with a particular focus on road verge habitats.

I also have a very special helper this year - Sammy the cat!

Thanks supervisors @deepasena.bsky.social, Mike Garratt and Joann Sy for joining me in France's Park National de Forêts this week.

We presented results from 2024's work on woodland pollinators, shared future ideas with the park and visited some field sites for this year's study.

Had a good time at the Pollinating London Together @pollinatinglt.bsky.social AGM in London last night with Joris and Konstantinos.

And made it onto the report! Great to see all of PLT's achievements in conserving urban pollinators so far.

Had a great time presenting my 2nd chapter PhD results at the bi-annual Bumblebee Working Group conference 2025, held at Cambridge University!

What a mouthful.

An amazing bunch of people all doing cutting-edge pollinator research. Can't wait for the next.

I had a great time at my first British Ecological Society conference! I met lots of friends old and new, and had the chance to share some research from the first year of my PhD.
