Most of my weekend spent hunting flowers in silksong, but the cape is nearly done. I have to correct the edges that peeled off with masking 🫩 Note to self: orange is an annoyingly semitransluscent color

First stage of this garage kit including sanding, pinning, putty work, and priming is complete! I finished the pumpkin base since I started working on him during a hobby meetup. Excited to have her hopefully done before Halloween!

Some GK mail came in this week, and I was reminded of why I should read the descriptions on BOOTH more carefully. I asked god for a miniature to practice and he delivered.

Was able to pin and dry assemble Maki's GK. She has several loose joints that I need to secure, and her thin cape seems impossible to pin well.
She's quite small against my Nozomi from the same theme which bothers me 😅 Even though Nozomi is a pre painted PVC #animefigure, I need BALANCE. #anisky

Garage kit pinning in progress all day last night. Still having trouble with alignment when I have to make my own pinholes. Sticky tac method either works or it doesn't.

Side quest: repaired my Rise anime #figure! A holy grail I got at lower than mkt value cause she was damaged. Her veils broke off and she had ca glue residue. I cleaned up the residue, pinned the broken veils, reinforced one connection with UV resin, sanded it, and painted it to blend in. #フィギュア

🌞Hi bloomfs, how was your day? Had the perfect weather to start peeling off seamlines from a new garage kit figure.
Heard this could be a bit faster than just sanding them off!

I took my old China ver. figure (don't come for me, I didn't know back then) of Moka and repainted her. Removed seamlines and obvious imperfections while adding more details and contrast. Also buffed and sealed her skin to a silky matte finish.

The first doll I ever customized, Azula from the Last Airbender. The base doll was a myscene Nolee, her clothes were handsewn and armor/hairpiece was modeled with thick stock paper and clay. Faceup redone with acrylic paints & watercolor pencils
